Maggie and Phil are an amazing and beautiful couple. We felt so grateful for being asked to capture their intimate Sedona wedding. A dear friend of theirs offered to host on their beautiful, juniper and cacti filled property as the ceremony spot. The adventurous couple wanted a secluded spot with 360-degree views for their portrait session. We suggested a few private locations. In the end, they chose to go with Mystic Vista in Sedona, despite the small hike required. What a gorgeous couple, and love filled day!
The morning started off with an amazing thunderstorm, with big lighting and stunning sunrise colors. Luckily, the storm cleared to sunny skies. The ceremony was a native-inspired celebration of their love, surrounded by their closest friends and family. After the ceremony, they had a delicious brunch on the patio. We met up with the couple again before sunset for the bride and groom portraits. We started at Fay Canyon Trail and captured great moments. We then headed towards Mystic Vista, but we had a problem. The bride had forgotten to bring some sneakers for the small hike! She was adamant to get to the vista, and so we reluctantly agreed to attempt it. I have never seen someone hike so well in heels. The couple was rewarded with a beautiful view at the top, making great photographs and memories. We left them to finish off their perfect day with at the famous Enchantment Resort, where they had their reception dinner with their loved ones.
